Through Wear² , I’ve always believed that jewellery should be the means to spark change.
The journey that led me to found Wear² started by having my feet in two worlds – embracing my Kenyan heritage and channeling my passion for this change. In my childhood, I spent many summers in Kenya where my grandparents lived. I’ve witnessed not only the economic challenges faced by many local communities, but also the incredible beauty, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the local people.
Inspired by their resilience, initiative, as well as my personal mission to make a positive impact, I am launching Wear², in which many of the products are made of sustainably sourced materials. It’s not just jewelry, the pieces reflect the creativity, culture, and strength of the people who make them.
My frequent visits to Kenya have deepened my connection with the cause and fueled my desire to help others. Previously, I’ve been involved in projects like supporting kids in an orphanage outside of Nairobi, and helping endangered wildlife. Now, with this new initiative, I’m combining my passion towards creating sustainable change through fashion, and helping those in need. I will also contribute a portion of my sales back to the same orphanage in Kenya I helped years ago in order to help change a child’s world by furthering their education so they can make their mark on the world and pay it forward. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.
Through Wear², I’ve always believed jewelry should inspire change. Growing up between my Kenyan heritage and global perspective, I witnessed both challenges and the creativity that fuels local communities.
